U.S. infecting and killing monkeys and other animals with CHEMICAL weapons in Brit labs

Research included monkeys, pigs, rabbits and mice being infected with viruses, and chemical and biological weapons. A total of 50,000 animals were killed at the labs between 2010 -2017.

SEAN RAYMENT: ‘The U.S. Pentagon has funded hundreds of tests since 2012 involving monkeys, pigs, rabbits and mice being infected with viruses, and chemical and biological weapons. The disclosure comes after we revealed 50,000 animals were killed at the Wiltshire base between 2010 and 2017. Other research carried out for the US by British experts included animals exposed to Mustard and Phosgene gas. The experiments were funded by the Pentagon’s Defence Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)… US Defense chiefs have paid more than £50 million to run weapons tests on animals at top secret Porton Down labs…

In one experiment, 12 marmoset monkeys were infected with the Ebola virus under a Pentagon-funded project. The project was part of a £3 million US-funded programme which ran from 2012 to 2016… The experiment was trying to measure the lethal dose of exposure and time to death of a monkey infected with the disease in case the virus was used as a bio-weapon. All infected marmoset monkeys died from six to 10 days after exposure to the Ebola virus.

Jessamy Korotoga, campaign manager at Animal Aid, said: “Warfare experiments on animals are morally reprehensible, leading to the most profound suffering, pain and distress… PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk recently criticised the Ministry of Defence for conducting animal experiments. She said: “When we have access to computer models, human tissues and other modern research methods, it’s unfathomable that the Ministry of Defence is still torturing and killing animals”.’  SOURCE…
